James Matthew Brown was born into a U.S. Navy military family, reared and educated in Arizona is recognized locally for his powerful courtroom victories. Mr. Brown graduated with honors from the Western State University College of Law, upon graduation he was handpicked by well renowned trial attorney, Gerry Spence, the inspiration of the movie Silkwood starring Cher and Meryl Streep, to attend his elite Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming where less than 50 of the best attorneys across the country per year, are chosen to attend. He has spent his career representing the underprivileged, the injured, the forgotten and the wronged against what he calls "the corporate and insurance defense whores," a combination of huge corporate law firms and gargantuan insurance companies with deep pockets. He has tried and won multi-million dollar judgments and has been nominated for trial awards and was recently selected by other San Diego Attorneys as one of the top personal injury attorneys in San Diego. Mr. Brown is respected, highly regarded and sought after by other attorneys for assistance in developing trial theory and strategies for their toughest cases.

James Matthew Brown resides in a small coastal community in North County. He loves the feel of a small close knit community but access to big city pleasures. He is the proud father of twin girls and a son, Cortney, Jesse and Hunter, all of which are attending college and graduate school.
