I graduated from Creighton University School of Law and hold an active license in both Nebraska and Colorado, as well as the federal court system. I'm a trial attorney, having defended people like yourself in well over fifty jury and hundreds more criminal bench trials. My career and reputation are built upon seeing that the rights of all people are protected and that all clients have access to the system of justice. My practice is focused upon alcohol-related traffic matters, but I also handle all types of criminal and family law matters from juvenile offenses to capital murder. I have the same training as the cop who gave you the Field Sobriety Tests (FST's) and I know how to enforce your rights! Client charged with felony DUI 3rd offense--case dismissed.
Practice Area: DUI and DWI
Description: Client was arrested at his home in Omaha and spent the longest two days of his life in jail. He was charged with a third offense of DUI, a Class IV felony (up to 5 years in jail), resisting arrest and test refusal. After being offered to plead guilty to the felony with probation and 30 days in jail or taking the matter to trial Mr. Kelly was hired.
Outcome: Mr. Kelly fought hard to keep the client's driver’s license and keep him out of jail. The matter was bound over for trial at the preliminary hearing and Mr. Kelly continued to fight. The case was dismissed by the Court and the client was released and his bond was returned.
