Jon R. Boyd, B.B.A., J.D., is a Dallas native. He obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, graduated with a law degree from the University of Houston and was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1979. In addition to his membership in the State Bar of Texas, Jon is admitted to practice in Federal District Court (Northern District of Texas) and has held memberships variously in the American Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers' Association, Collin County Bar Association and Dallas Bar Association. He has received offers of recognition from the State Bar of Texas for his pro bono work and participation in continued legal education. Jon has practiced law continuously in the Dallas area since 1979 and has tried hundreds of cases, including numerous jury trials. Jon is a devoted father to his four children. Together with his kids, he enjoys deer and dove hunting, nature, water sports, snow skiing, tennis and other outdoor activities. He is also an avid reader and movie buff. He is hard working, open, friendly, and honest. Jon works with his clients on a first name basis and remains friends with many of them after the case is finished. Jon is a sole practitioner. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. He has been proudly associated with Fathers for Equal Rights and the National Fathers Resource Center since 1995, where he volunteers regularly.
