Case History

Felonious Assault

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Description: Defendant was charged with felonious assualt,a five-year felony, after stabbing her friend in the face while intoxicated.

Outcome: The charge was successfully plead down to a minor misdemeanor of disturbing the peace and defendant was setenced to time-served in the county jail (3 days). No probation, no costs, and no fines.

Domestic Violence/Resisting and Obstructing

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Description: Defendant was charged with domestic violence and resisting & obstructing a police officer, both felonies that carried a potential of 15 years in prison.

Outcome: Successfully plead the felony R&O down to a misdemeanor and successfully obtained the dismissal of the domestic violence charge. Defendant was setenced to time-served with no further jail time.

Felony Possession of Narcotics

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Description: Defendant was charged with felony possession of cocaine after an officer witnessed the transaction and pulled the defendant over.

Outcome: The charge was completely dismissed.

Concealed Deadly Weapon

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Description: Defendant was charged with the felony of carrying a concealed deadly weapon in her vehicle.

Outcome: Charges were completely dismissed.

Domestic Violence

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Description: Defendant was charged with domestic violence and interferring with telecommunications when he allegedly tried to prevent his wife from calling the police.

Outcome: All charges were dropped and dismissed.

Fraudulent Transactions

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Description: Defendant was charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card with an additional charge pending. Each charge was a five-year felony.

Outcome: All charges were completely dismissed with no criminal history remaining on Defendant's record in lieu of Defendant performing community service.

Larceny in a Building

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Description: Defendant was charged with the felony of larceny in a building after being accused of stealing jewerly. Defendant was also subject to being sentenced as an habitual second offender thus increasing the maximum penalty by 1 1/2 times.

Outcome: At a jury trial, Defendant was found "Not Guilty."
