Appelman Law Firm specializes in DWI, assault, theft, traffic, and drug related crimes. Our services consist not only of getting the best possible results for our clients, but providing support for our clients during this difficult time.

Avery Appelman

Avery Appelman is a criminal defense lawyer and the founder of Appelman Law Firm. While his practice is primarily recognized for its work with DWI and related offenses, he has 16 years of experience working with clients on drug, assault, theft, traffic, criminal sexual conduct, and prostitution charges.

Avery's greatest strength is his ability to counsel in a way that assists clients in all aspects of their lives. He works in partnership with clients to streamline the judicial process, thereby enabling individuals to assist in their own defense. Mr. Appelman recognizes the impact of criminal proceedings on those surrounding the accused, which is why he also strives to mitigate the effects on clients' friends and family members.

Avery enjoys coaching soccer as well as reading historical and legal fiction. He also volunteers for many organizations throughout the Twin Cities.

Geoff Saltzstein

Geoff Saltzstein is an associate attorney at the Appelman Law Firm. He served three years at the Hennepin County Public Defender's Office writing winning motions and supporting briefs. Upon graduating from the University of St. Thomas Law School, Geoff clerked for the Honorable Phillip Bush in the Hennepin County felony division. He brings his experience from behind the bench to the courtroom, compassionately advocating for his clients' rights. Geoff focuses his practice exclusively on criminal and DWI defense.


 


In his spare time, Geoff volunteers at organizations throughout the Twin Cities/Metro area. He enjoys spending quality time with his fiancee and two bulldogs named, Happy and Charles.

Stacy Kaye

Stacy Kaye worked at Appelman Law Firm for three years as a Law Clerk before joining the team as an associate in October 2010. She is well-versed in the legal process, aggressive, and genuinely passionate about her work—all qualities of a great defense attorney.


Stacy graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Macalester College. She recently received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Adam Goldfine

 


Adam Goldfine is the newest associate attorney at Appelman Law Firm. Prior to joining the Appelman Law Firm team Adam was a legal intern at the prosecution firm of Campbell Knutson, and operated a legal clinic for individuals experiencing homelessness. Adam has a great understanding of the criminal justice system and takes pride in being passionate about his clients.


Adam is a Minneapolis native and went to college at the University of Kansas prior to receiving his Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law. When he is not in the office Adam can be found either playing or watching basketball.
