Tax attorneys are strictly involved in legal tasks – creating and executing estate planning strategies, solving international tax problems, and litigating or defending in a case involving the IRS. A tax attorney usually has experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), in addition to a degree in taxation. This understanding and experience in tax law is very critical since tax mistakes can ruin a business, and since tax fraud convictions can have massive penalties.
