K Visa

A K visa is issued to two different groups of people which include a fiancée of a United States citizen or a spouse of a US citizen that lives outside of the country. A K1 visa is provided to an individual who is a fiancée of a United States citizen if the couple can show intent to marry within ninety days of entry to the country, as well as a relationship existing. A K3 visa is issued to a spouse of a United States citizen that lives outside of the country for some reason. The purpose of the K1 visa is to bring over an individual who has the intent and proof to marry a United States citizen. While the intent of a K3 visa is to keep couples together. There are also associated visas for any minor children associated with each type or relationship.
