Injury Lawsuit

An injury lawsuit is one in which the plaintiff, or the injured party (or their family suing on their behalf) files a lawsuit in a court of law against a business or other person who they believe is responsible for their injuries. This type of lawsuit, often called a personal injury lawsuit, is often handled in civil court and the goal of the case is to obtain a settlement for the plaintiff. This settlement may be a monetary or other type of restitution arrangement, which will settle the case. Many times, injury lawsuits will seek settlements in the form of monetary compensation for the injury, including medical bills, loss, trauma and loss of work. The value of such lawsuits is dependent on numerous factors, and often these cases are settled out of court.
