Arbitration is an Alternative Dispute Resolution. It is used to avoid the judicial systems of the various levels of government. Either one arbitrator or a panel is agreed on by both sides to hear their respective cases. Arbitration may seem fairly simple, but there are a few very important features which an arbitration attorney can effectively take care off with prior knowledge and experience, such presentation of the case tailored to a specific arbitrator, the initial choice of arbitrators and of binding or non-binding arbitration. Binding arbitration does not warrant appeals. The expense of hiring an arbitration attorney is likely to be worthwhile.
