WASHINGTON | Kansas City civil rights activist Alvin Sykes met with Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday as part of his campaign on behalf of unsolved murders. The meeting grew out of Sykes’ long fight for the creation of a “cold case” squad inside the Justice Department to reopen unsolved murders from the civil rights era of the 1950s and ’60s.
