The products liability attorneys at Bisnar | Chase continue to fight for the rights of injured victims who have been seriously hurt by defective products. One of our personal injury clients is young Trevor Dennis, who was severely injured and scarred not only physically, but also emotionally, after a defective Coleman propane heater caused his family's camping trailer to catch on fire. This catastrophic accident occurred on December 30, 2005. Trevor, then 7, suffered serious burn injuries, which to this day require constant medical care and attention.

Our product defect law firm filed a lawsuit on behalf of Trevor and his mother Alysha Reed against Coleman, which we believe, knowingly manufactured and sold a faulty propane heater, the ProCat (TM) PerfecTemp(TM) (Model 5053). Coleman used faulty design, substandard critical parts from Chinese suppliers, sloppy assembly and inadequate quality control. All this led to the catastrophic injury of a child.

What's worse, The Coleman Company knew that this model of propane heaters was faulty. They had received prior complaints, warranty claims, incident reports and even faced lawsuits relating to these defective products. However, they continued to sell the propane heater. This is a classic example of a product manufacturer putting profits before the people who buy their products – unsuspecting consumers. The company also claimed in their advertising that the propane heater was safe indoors, when in fact it was not. Coleman has denied our clients' claims.

This is hardly surprising to us. As a product defect law firm, we have represented numerous personal injury victims hurt by defective products over the last three decades. Most defective product manufacturers do not admit and continue to deny that their products are defective. In this case, Coleman's refusal to pull these dangerous and defective propane heaters off the market cost a young boy and his family dearly. They continue to face increasing medical expenses and other costs related with Trevor's injuries. We will work hard to make sure that Trevor receives fair compensation for his injuries and the medical expenses involved with his catastrophic burn injuries.
