DUI in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has a few unique laws pertaining to DUIs. Their per se law states that if you have a blood alcohol content of .08% or more, you’ll be punished as if you had the highest level of alcohol in your system. However, if you’re content level is above .16%, then a much stricter set of punishments will be applied. These include losing your driver’s license for a year, going to jail, and paying very high fines. If your blood alcohol level is lower, you probably won’t face jail time, but you will have to attend alcohol awareness classes.
