Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Lawyers

There are two different options for filing for bankruptcy in Pennsylvania: Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. Chapter 7 clears away many of your debts, but in Pennsylvania, it does not erase everything-you'll still have to pay alimony, child support, and other government debts, including student loans. Chapter 13, however, erases no debts. Instead, it arranges for you and your creditors to work out a repayment plan that you can afford. One benefit of Chapter 13 is that your home is protected since, in Pennsylvania, all foreclosures and claims on your property must be dropped once you declare bankruptcy.
