There are over 13,000 active Arizona attorneys in the State Bar of Arizona (SBA). Of those active members, nearly 65% of Arizona lawyers are male and 25% are female Arizona attorneys. In the state of Arizona, only attorneys admitted to the State Bar of Arizona may provide any form of legal advice.

There are eight areas of practice that the State Bar of Arizona certifies Arizona lawyers as specialists. These include Arizona estate & trust attorneys, family law attorneys, bankruptcy lawyers, workers compensation lawyers, criminal defense lawyers, tax attorneys, real estate attorneys, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation lawyers.
