About the Author
Kristen Lawfer has recently started the Law Office of Kristen D. Lawfer in southeastern Pennsylvania, determined to achieve her dream of practicing law in a way that is cost effective for her clients. Her practice focuses on intellectual property law, family law, tort law, and wills, trusts, and estates. Prior to opening her own legal office, Kristen worked for the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General and the federal Department of Health and Human Services. Her other jobs have ranged from a mail clerk and cashier to an intern in the White House.
She graduated cum laude from George Mason University School of Law, where she was the Senior Research Editor of the Journal of Law, Economics & Policy. While in law school, Kristen was also a Writing Fellow, which entailed teaching legal writing to first year law students. Kristen graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University with a B.A. in Political Science.
When not working, Kristen enjoys reading (almost anything from travel narratives to comic books), cooking, traveling, and taking full advantage of Netflix. She also speaks Japanese, and continues her language studies almost daily.
Kristen is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
